So.... Been away for a while.... Also had a think...
As I now own my own (basic) Recording studio equipment and i'm doing more writing, and my inspiration is high (at times) so i was thinking, i'm gonna put more blog posts etc. about my movements, my ups and downs on my music...
As well as posting up the songs im liking at the time etc. so people can see the insights of somebody trying to make music and hoping to build some recognition for the music i make!
So Ive had a song for a while that my friend has produced and managed to get some females vocals on it also. It has a big space for my verse(s) with a switch up for the beat in the middle of my gap, the whole concept of the song with the female vocals on it is basically about a man doing his girlfriend wrong... (or thats at least how i percieved it haha.) so the way the beat plays out i thought my first half of the verse could be me accepting that i have done wrong and trying to "suck up" and pull back the losses that could be... but then when the beat switches up. it gets a bit darker so i thought for the second half ill go back on all ive said the first half and be like "nah... f**k it, i aint done nothing wrong... i aint the only one thats done wrong.. dah dah dah.." kinda effort!
Also... someone was listening to Beyonce - Halo the other day, and i caught the beat of it n i got a real feel for it so i found the instrumental and had a listen and it hooked me... now i cant write when im at home, i dont know what it is or why but it may be too many distractions etc. so ive found it hard to write anyother way, carrying a pen and pad around with me etc. but i have my self a new phone so i have put the instrumentals on the phone and i write them up into my phone... and i was out and about today, decided to walk home and had my music on and after a little whilre remembered about this beat. so i put it on, and had a listen and as walking got some lyrics about my son, and his birth and him meaning the world to me.... so thats a pretty deep track! and if i make this song the way i would like to, i would really like to make a video for it... even if its just something for my son to see when he gets older!
I have soo many beats, sooo many ideas, lyrics are slowly mounting up in my phone... im finally a bit more inspired!
I spoke about entering a competition in previous posts. it was an Childline Final Verse competition. With Devlin, he wrote 2 verses and let out the instrumental for the final verse of a track called "Teardrops". 900+ people entered (including me) an MC called Merki won it. This was my entry
unfortunatly i didnt get far enough with the verse... however it did give me the kick up the backside i needed to start writing and recording!

The Gang - System Overload
These are a local collective from Hull (my home city!) and i cannot put across how brilliant a collective these are... They are completely different from your everyday hip hop group. vocally, productively, and lyrically on another level! Big things are gonna come from these guys! i promise you!....
They have been around for a long while now, They were formally known as "Hooligan Gang" but are now known as The G.A.N.G (which stands for Growth And Not Glory) Ive followed their music for a while now, and its all top music that has come from them!
The video is a big big look. The director and editor of the vid is also from Hull (MWmedia) and he made a brilliant song even better with an awesome video!
The production (by Heatrock) is awesome... Guitars along side the bouncey, club beat! put together brilliantly!
The Vocals (By Ceekay or Kizzle) are also awesome... i knew dude could sing but this song potrays his talents brilliantly! Dude has a brilliant voice and it sits on every part of the beat brilliantly!
The "Rap break" (By Nero).. now as i said, ive been following these for a while.. so i know dude can spit, but this song just shows how diverse and talented this dude (and all of the collective) is.. no matter what the beat he brings an awesome verse!

Kano & Mikey J - E.T. Ft. Wiley, Wretch 32 & Scorcher
This song is Track 3 of Kano's "Not 4 The A List" saga... of which is an upcoming mixtape which kano is releasing for free but only releasing track by track and appears to be making videos for all the tracks too...
Kano is a major idol of mine... Him and Dizzee are the two UK MC's that made me decide i want to do what im trying to do..
In my mind kano is being really extremely smart with this mixtape, because each track is being released so far using different media promoters (GrimeDaily, SBTV, SoulCulture etc.) and being played by different DJ's first... I See this as being clever because hes getting props and recognition from each promoters and djs for each track so each DJ is going to want to get the other tracks too and also when Kano releases a new album/single etc. these people are going to be willing to help Kano alot more with promotion etc!
The song itself is fantastic, it has 3 other artists on top... and each go out their own way, Wiley does Wiley... being the Godfather of Grime.. theres no way he couldnt post a good verse onto such a hard track! (i was really amused by the "Insert Wiley Here" pun. as whenever Wiley does a feature or a track... you dont see alot of him in videos! which is his downfall in my opinion... but hes a busy man or whatever... hes sick still)
Wretch.... the man is unreal with his wordplay and metephors and hes just an animal with it! big up wretch for days!
Scorcher... he GENUINELY goes spazz like the song says, puts a sick as hell verse on it and kills it! BLAM!
Kanos verse on it is just awesome. ive got big big hopes for the rest of this mixtape cos the first 3 tracks are BIG!
definately look out for the other tracks too (Random Antics and Alien Ft. Maxsta)

Krept - Paranormal Activity Remix (Ft. Too many people!)
This song has EVERYBODY on it! haha... I'm serious though! it has soo many people on it

Back Once More...
Aint posted in a while (I know, and i do appologise but i've had a few things to attend to).....
Done a bit of writing myself lately, quite proud of the outcome... Some deep deep things in creation.... All will be revealed when ive finished ;o).
Firstly... i just wanna have a quick moan to be honest.... you know when you paint this brilliant picture of how good certain things are in your head... and its been a long long while since youve been around it.... then it comes the day when its all back and your like "yeah, this is actually gonna be brilliant..." and then... it sort of goes the opposite way all together..... like everythings changed now? and you really thought it wouldnt change? well thats kinda how im feeling about something inparticular at the moment.....
Ended up kinda hurt that it has changed... mainly due to the fact i really honestly thought nothing would of changed.... in a way im hoping its a one off, like things may of just been different then. but oh well only time will tell!
done being depressive and morbid RIGHT!
As i said in my previous post i was going to see the new Transformers film!... (i know it was a long time ago lol)
I did and it was AWESOME! i love all of the Transformers movies, ill never decide which one is the best!
Bumblebee is a beast! Optimus Prime is a fricking ANIMAL! and the whole story line was really good all the way through! i really enjoyed it!!! Was rather disapointed with the Linkin Park song on the credits to this one though! the first two song choices where really good from the old movies, so i was half excited to see the outcome of this one too! but it didnt have the same effect....

Today im gonna be a bit..... one sided with this one, because i never really noticed how underated Marvell Boys are!
As a collective they are immense... they bounce off eachother so well (which i will show an example of this momentarily!) and each individual have their own thing what they bring to the group that makes them awesome!
Shocker - his one liners and his punchlines are so well thought up and well delivered too!
Vertex - his charisma and his swagger on the tracks just adds to the whole flavour of the collective, hes a good rapper too tho!
Double S - his flow and deliverence is sick as hell! the way he just is so constant with it is brilliant!
All together their flows are amazing. and they fit together perfectly.....

Marvell - Go Out Of Control (Three Way)
Not much i can say about the video or the track to be honest.... cos its BRILLIANT! Has been played TOO MUCH on my ipod!
Next song is an example how they can jump on anything no matter what the beat!:
Marvell - We Dont Speak No Americano
Not a proper video so i can say nothing about that obviously! lol.... But the speed of the beat shows you the diversity of the emcees themselves! good track!
Last Marvell track is a new one, just jumped on Young Money collectives "Im On One":
Marvell Boys - I'm On One (Marvell Monday)
Videos not bad, just a studio video. Some effective ways into it... the song though is really good! im really jumping on Marvell at the moment! (Hence the whole blog post about them lol) Really listen to Shocker (2nd verse)... This ones a good example of his punchlines and that!
All together they are awesome! Mixtapes are available online! just search for Marvell FM (1,2,3&4!!!) each one is a really good listen, whole mixture of songs on each one, and some unexpected beats theyve jumped on!
Ill be back tomorrow with another 3 songs (wont be about a single artist or group this time though lol, today was just a one off because i beleive that Marvell are way too underated!!)

Grrrrr.... I NEED a bigger Ipod!!!
Its now 1:20 AM....
Ive found my ipod (misplaced it the other day, found it in my sons toy box!)
Got quite a few new songs to put on it..... Unfortunately, I only have an 8GB Ipod Touch.... I NEED a bigger ipod! lol....
Its currently full..... I cannot fit one more song on it. So im having to be EXTREMELY picky on what songs to get rid of as i love most if not all of the songs that are on it currently!
GRRRRR!!! I need to be relentless and be like 'BASHY, YEA I LIKE YOUR SONGS AND ALL BUT I DONT LISTEN TO THAT SONG AS MUCH AS I LIKE TO THINK I DO... DELETE!!!' but I just cant bring my self to it!!
I LOVE MY MUSIC... WHYY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME IPOD!!!! CURSE YOU!!!!!!
The Evil 8gb Music Deletion Forcing Ipod!!!
On another note, I'm currently considering entering a competition... Will definatly update you all on that when i get a bit deeper into it.... Gonna keep it a bit 'lowkey' untill then....
Maybe going to see transformers tomorrow (today actually...). So will no doubt be telling you how that went! Will be back tomorrow (afternoonish) with 3 more songs/videos and probably a whole more heap of rubbish to fill your minds with!!

DROP A BOMB ON THIS ONE!!! *Tim Westwood Voice*
Was just running through youtube... Looking through music as usual.... Noticed a new Tim Westwood video....
Now before I get into this, I don't completely hate Tim.... He just annoys me at times!
He is a BRILLIANT DJ dont get me wrong!, his music and his DJ'ing is second to none... But when he starts talking some of the things he says just goes wayyyy overboard and annoys the hell out of me!
BUT I have just found a video that proves any accusations of Westwood being a bit twisted and having some "fruity" tendencies:
As if it wasn't bad enough that the guy is in there in his boxers... He asks him to remove the towel..... Then he "suggests" he removes his boxers as an even more "daring dare" he refuses and when he does.... Westwood proper chases after the guy to remove the boxers himself! and successfully does it also! strips the poor guy naked!!! Can you imagine the fear in the guys head! like... Being chased by a really tall and skinny 50+ year old man.... The same man that keeps repeatedly calling him 'baby'.... To then get stripped and then left naked by this worryingly excited and amused man!
Westwood! your a legend and all! But your worrying sometimes!
I was amused at how fast Westwood ran though! that really did make me giggle!
Anyways, now to the music!

Vato Gonzalez - Badman Riddim (Jump) Ft. Foreign Beggars
Firstly, I completely overlooked this song (I've heard it, but i didnt think of putting it on here..). But my dude Alex suggested I did a review to it. (which was a good call.. nice one Al)
I like the song... Quite a lot actually. To be honest when i first listened to the song i wasnt overly impressed but it has grown on me quickly. Calling the song "Badman Riddim" is awesome in itself.... Your only a badman if you like this tune.... standard... haha.
But the beat reminds me of an old Pharoahe Monch song 'Simon Says' (<- i linked it i wont bother posting the video though lol)
I think that (or an origional track if the Monch version was sampled, but thats what i remember it from) is what they sampled for the song to be honest...
Havent heard alot of Foreign Beggars to be fair... so i wont pretend i know everything about them and then search on wikipedia about them... if you wanna know about them you can research them lol. only things ive heard from them to be honest is when they have worked with london based artist Skinnyman. but with the beat which is quite bouncy and makes me wanna jump like they ask in the song and then with the comedy value of the video (the giant godzilla and record shark monster thing fighting etc and the 2 asian ladies im guessing thats the effect theyve gone for... godzilla style) and the whole effects in the video (like the background being black with white writing on second the next its white with black.... simple but effective!) think theyve definatly got a hit with this one!

Fireworkz killed it again (in the past theyve had 'Hold It Down' Produced for artists such as Shystie, Hyper Fen and Marcie Phonics, Kele Le Roc, Durrty Goodz etc.)
With 'Hold It Down' they got a hand full of artists and put them on the track and it was a briliant track...
But this one is off the charts!
Bounty Killa... Although i couldnt understand him properly lol, his verse was good,
Ghetts how ever... cannot knock Ghetts for any of his songs now, he just fires it out everytime!
Shystie..... absolutly killed it. ive rated her for years since One Wish and she did a version of Dizzee Rascals 'I Luv You' shes just unbeleivable each time i hear her! and she did her part in Dubplate Drama 1 & 2 and Adulthood very well! lol
Trilla..... Trilla, Tremaine, Tilloski..... Good verse, good to see an artist doing not too bad coming from elsewhere than London area to be fair!
3.2.1 - Is this Hypa Fenn and Marcie Phonix? I like them dudes, they bounce of each other so well...
English Frank... not heard of this guy, this is the first time ive heard him... not sure if i rate him or not but he sat in the song not too bad so aint gonna jump on him!
Video seems real gutter and grimey i like it.! good song, good vid, most definately going into the ipod!!

Lupe Fiasco - Out Of My Head Ft. Trey Songz
Lupe is so underrated its not even right! i really do like lupe! got his own style, his own flow, his own swagger.... he doesnt jump on what ever everyone else is rapping about he talks his own talk... thats why i like him.
Hes put Trey Songz on the track got a hit instantly! i love Trey Songz music hes an absolute genious with his music, he raps too! better than alot of the rappers out to this day! some of the singers that are rapping too now are unbeleivable but thats another post. His vocals are awesome makes the track what it is, keeps it hyped. even in the video! look at him! how f***ing cool is he!?!?
video sits perfectly with the song. good video (i like the little hits of comedy, feeling up the old lady in the lift, getting peed on by the dog etc. lol)
good song, was gonna say definately for the ipod... but its already on cos his lasers album is awesome!! big up Lupe big up Trey!
It may seem that im only reviewing Hip Hop and R & B but i will review others its just these songs are the ones that have caught my eye the past 2 days! there will be others!!! honest!

Lupe is so underrated its not even right! i really do like lupe! got his own style, his own flow, his own swagger.... he doesnt jump on what ever everyone else is rapping about he talks his own talk... thats why i like him.
Hes put Trey Songz on the track got a hit instantly! i love Trey Songz music hes an absolute genious with his music, he raps too! better than alot of the rappers out to this day! some of the singers that are rapping too now are unbeleivable but thats another post. His vocals are awesome makes the track what it is, keeps it hyped. even in the video! look at him! how f***ing cool is he!?!?
video sits perfectly with the song. good video (i like the little hits of comedy, feeling up the old lady in the lift, getting peed on by the dog etc. lol)
good song, was gonna say definately for the ipod... but its already on cos his lasers album is awesome!! big up Lupe big up Trey!
It may seem that im only reviewing Hip Hop and R & B but i will review others its just these songs are the ones that have caught my eye the past 2 days! there will be others!!! honest!

G Wiz batman! Your right! To the Blogspot!!
Just realised how annoying my postman is!!!
Casually leaving my front gate open! You know them little things that annoy you, like something put in another place after you put it in a different place so you have to put it back where you first put it so you dont get annoyed? well the front gate being left open by the postman is one of them for me!
Its not a big problem today as i'm in house alone, but other days my son is at home and he now knows how to open the door so if he got out, he would be able to run straight onto the street thanks to mr. postman!
ANYWAYS!
rant over! i have just been browsing Youtube and found 3 videos i thought i would post and have a little natter about!
First one:
Eminem - Space Bound
Taken from his Recovery album... Eminem never fails to disapoint me with his music and with his videos.....
Like the whole atmosphere of the video, didnt quite get it though, maybe its just me being dumb, i get the part of him in the back of the car as if hes trying to tell himself to just get out and walk, but i didnt get some of the rest like the whole her disapearing etc. was a bit weird, but a good video none the less. I like how eminem gets you thinking in it to be honest. I reckon thats what hes aimed for in this video! to get you to think "what the....". The part that shocked me was the detail in the headshot towards the end! He puts the gun to his chin and pulls the trigger! The detail in that is mad! I dont see this video getting much airplay on T.V.......

Tinie Tempah - Till I'm Gone Ft. Wiz Khalifa
Tinie is big now! people only know him from 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky' but before that he had songs like 'Wifey', 'Tears', 'Hood Economics'... etc. Release mixtapes and albums from 'Chapter 1: Verse 1 - 22' to 'Sexy Beast' to 'Hood Economics Room 147' and then released a Major album called 'Disc-overy'
Hes a former member of Aftershock. A london based group of talented artists like Bruza, Gemma Fox, Terror Danjah etc.
Tinie has been jumping on US instrumentals for years from Lil Waynes 'Lollipop' to Ace Hoods 'Hustle Hard'
After catching the attention of G Unit's DJ Who Kidd, made a mixtape with the DJ on a handfull of US hits.
One of which was Wiz Khalifa's 'Black and Yellow' which Wiz heard and then became the result of this song! of which is a good song! the vocals from wiz sit quite niceley next to Tinie's! its quite a feel good song, the song would sit nicely in your headphones on a nice sunny day or in your C.D player in your car with your windows wound down and crusing nicely...
The video isnt bad, nothing spectacular!, the Aston Martin in it is nice.... But thats just Aston Martins in general lol. Theres parts in the video where Tinie seems quite hyper and Wiz just seems to be stood there, makes Tinie look like his hyperness is a bit O.T.T lol.
All in all good song, and to be fair average video but is an all round good time kinda theme on both the song and video!

Starboy Nathan - Hangover Ft. Wretch 32
Nathans a sick vocalist, dont think he has released a song i havent liked or can fault at that! and then to have Wretch 32 in the song also just tops it off (im sure you'll soon realise Wretch is one of my favourite artists!)
The song is brilliant, sure alot of people can relate to it. The night your drinking, watching the amount your actually putting down your throat knowing full well the next day your gonna be suffering! Wretch as usual fits in nicely with a verse. Definatly a song for the ipod!
The video is comedy! pure comedy from the start. Nathan in his union jack boxers (I WANT SOME! anyone fancy buying me a pair as a late birthday gift.... feel free ;o) ) Him getting caught in the toilet with his pants down... although i wasnt quite sure at first why a heavily tattoo'd guy would be walking round in just shorts with a fully suited fat mafia attempt and a scantly clad bikini dressed woman in a night club... but then i guess theyre trying to make it look like the mafia guy is running an underground UFC fight club effort or something...
Then nathan fending the thugs off with a Chiuaua is hilarious! then the escape attempt while drunk ona bicycle taxi thingy LOL! Nah she aint worth that much effort buddy! haha.
Obviously it being Nathan, has to have the dancing and dance breaks in the video! wouldnt be one of his videos without the dancing to be honest! Then wretch's verse comes in. That tattoo Nathan gets in the video is the EXACT reason i would never get a tattoo under the influence! I'd end up with a full on Mike Tyson effort on my face! Would be major! lol.
Best parts of the video for me where, him and Wretch racing on the little granny scooters. and Nathan getting Tazered! Pure LOL! Top song, Brilliant Video and again a definate song for the ipod!

Hello And Welcome To The Blog That Belongs To That Boy..
Well...
As it seems, i have jumped onto the "Blogging Bandwagon".
Reason i have made mine though, is because, i have a very strong passion for music and all its wonders!
Although this blog will be a lot about music etc. it will also have posts on things about me and things that are happening around me (can imagine most things i post will be about amusing things happening because i live a very boring life and not many exciting things do happen...... hence this blog!)
I get quite excitable about Music and things like certain fashion (mainly certain items of clothing) and tattoo's etc. so i may seem a bit over excited on some posts but its OK.... I'm not going crazy.. honest!
Do bare in mind that I've only just started in the whole blogging malarkey, so changes will be expected (and do expect the blog to turn into an ultimately cool as f**k page which the whole world will view and enjoy!!.... obviously!)
If my opinions shared on this blog step on your toes in a sense that you disagree with what it is i am saying, i apologise but that's my opinions and views on it all, but don't in anyway take it personal or as a dig at you (unless clearly stated it is aimed at you!)
I was going to post a load of things about me about what music I'm into etc. but ill leave it out and ill post that into my Profile.. as that's what it is there for and would defeat the object if i decided to post it here and not there!
As I am now running out of ideas on what to put on my welcome post... i think ill just leave it at that.
at the end of each post ill no doubt put a "Now Listening" line at the bottom stating what song (if any) i am currently listening to.... just so you nosey people can see what I'm listening to really!
